She will play an instore gig in Music’s Not Dead, in Devonshire Road, on Saturday May 7 from 5.30pm

Gill, who is a multi-instrumentalist, spent years developing her craft as a journeying musician. She has worked for a decade with Emily Barker & The Red Clay Halo, performing around the world in venues as diverse as tiny club back-rooms and Wembley Arena, on TV theme tunes and on film soundtracks. She has played and recorded with The Broken Family Bandand Frank Turner – among many others – along the way.

She is also a member of fast rising Mrs H & The Sing-along Band – becoming hugely popular in the childrens’ music scene – performing at Southbank Centre, Vaults Festival, and in recent months filling London’s 900-seater Union Chapel to capacity on a Sunday afternoon.

In 2015 Gill collaborated with long-time friend and activist songwriter, Chris T-T, on the duo album Walk Away, Walk Away; they also performed the theme song for the celebrated UK horror film The Outer Darkness.

Only in recent years has Gill gained acclaim in her own right for her intricate and thought-provoking solo work.

Gill spent the early months of 2015 crafting Songs Of Our Years during two solo retreats in the Welsh countryside, isolating herself from urban life with guitar, notebook and pen. The album she then made achieves a fuller, richer band sound, without losing any of Gill’s dark, delicate vision, nor her attention to detail - out May 6 on her label Rowan Tree Records.
