Organ concert at Milligan Theatre

The Rye Wurlitzer pipe organ is the second oldest in the UK and on Sunday July 24 there is a chance to enjoy a concert on it at the Milligan Theatre in Rye College beginning at 2.30pm.

It will be given by lifelong enthusiast Bernard Tilley who learned to play organ at his local church in Welling, Kent, from age 11. However Bernard was also drawn to the cinema opposite his school, the Granada, which had a large Wurlitzer theatre organ. By the time he was 17 he was playing numerous concerts for the Theatre Organ Club, including nightly intermissions at the Odeon, Leicester Square. Admission £9.50, including refreshments, and car parking is free.
