Popular classics on offer from orchestra

The Hastings Sinfonia will perform well-known classics on Saturday July 16 at 7.30pm at St John the Evangelist Church in St Leonards.

The concert will include works such as Die Fledermaus Overture by Strauss and Elgar’s Pomp And Circumstance March Number 1. Young flautist Daisy Noton will perform the first movement of Flute Concerto in G by Mozart, and there will be popular arias such as Flower Duet by Delibes and O Mio Babbino Caro by Puccini.

In addition there will be two world premieres of arias from Polo Piatti’s new opera Mata Hari plus Duty Sublime, a piece especially commissioned to commemorate the Queen’s 90th birthday.
