There are few ensembles in the town in which Andy has not played and he can often be seen musically directing shows in the area. He has in the past been persuaded to take up the baton for BLODS (Bexhill Light Operatic and Dramatic Society) for their production of the Gondoliers at the De La Warr Pavilion, and he has also done a local one-man show playing nine different instruments ranging from his beloved trumpet to a hosepipe with a funnel on the end.

He also plays in the Sussex Concert Orchestra, Harveys Brass, orchestras for local amateur dramatic shows, a Reggae/Ska band called Kobo. and a group of players called Thomas And Friends which raises money for Demelza Hospice and other worthwhile causes. In July he will visit Bitburg in Germany with a national collection of brass players to perform at a beer/music festival.
