Using moving sets, actors, puppets and magic, audiences of around 20 work to complete the quest together by solving puzzles, gathering treasure, talking to characters and outwitting monsters.

The theatre game is set in Hastings but in an alternative 1750’s England, where fairy folk mix in the world of the human. The Sword & Flagon Tavern is where the audience enters this magical world through a portal. This first adventure is called The Curse of the Scarlet Sorcerer.

Oliver McNeil, who runs Legend Photography, but worked in theatre beforehand, has bought together a creative team including Doctor Who master prop maker Mark Cordory, Dan Baines magical effect designer, and many local actors to bring this creation to life. He has also help from gaming giants Ian Livingstone and Joe Dever, famous for fantasy adventure gamebooks in the 1980’s and 90’s.

Audience members are encouraged to come dressed in costume - highwaymen, pirates and fairytale costumes are perfect for this period.

This Christmas there is an exclusive special chance to play test this experience, at reduced price, before it’s officially launched in 2016. On December 21-23 at 3pm, the show will be running at the Pulse School of Movement & Dance, Cornfield Terrace, St Leonard’s on Sea.

The show is suitable for ages 7 to adult. Book by calling Oliver on 01580 830178.
