Snow White panto makes good company

The show was directed, designed and written by Avril and Gary Crawford and featured local talented performers.

The mood was set by an impressive opening song by Emily Harper as the Fairy who sang beautifully throughout, creating a calming influence to those in the audience struggling to keep their toddlers at bay!

The title role was played by Pippa Monk who looked and played the part fabulously, especially when confronted by the Wicked Queen Amanda Fairless who enhanced the professional feel to the production.

Snow White’s handsome prince was played dependably by Elliot Crawford, and special mention must go to Patricia Hall who played a fantastic Lurch in Kathy Burke style!

And what panto would be complete without the double entendre’s to make the adults snigger guiltily?

These were provided by Muddles (Guy Greenhalf) and Dame Dolly (Reggie Regelous) who kept the pace and laughter throughout and provided some hilarious frolics; I particularly liked the baking scene and Paris Hilton joke!

Villagers, dancers and Dwarfs were all played by local children with many proud parents sat watching and giving them all well-deserved applause and cheers at the end.

The modern chart songs throughout were well chosen, the production was consistently entertaining and provided an excellent 2 hours of festive fun!
