Vocal versatility from amazing boys from Blake

Vocal group Blake is coming to White Rock Theatre in Hastings on April 9.

Known for their ability to perform a huge mix of genres, the group uses rich vocal harmonies to perform classic songs in inimitable style.

The tour follows appearances on The Graham Norton Show, The One Show and Strictly Come Dancing alongside Dame Shirley Bassey, with whom they released a Christmas single last December.

This song featured on the album A Classic Christmas in aid of children’s charities Variety and Noah’s Ark Hospice. Musicals, pop and classical songs collide in the group’s most eclectic stage spectacular yet, accompanied by great musicians and video projections. Audiences can expect their famous and hilarious rat-pack banter to feature fascinating new stories from last year.

The band has already racked up an impressive CV of achievements including multi-platinum selling albums and over 150 TV appearances, as well as a Brit Award for Album of the Year. The trio tour constantly and take part in a vast amount of charity work, from performing for the Queen and Prince Harry at the Festival of Remembrance and the launch of the Walking With The Wounded South Pole Challenge.

They will be joined on stage by local choir Sound Waves (see story below), whose leader Debbie Warren said: “It is a privilege to be selected as the choir to accompany Blake on the Hastings leg of their UK tour. Everyone is very excited about taking part and looking forward to the big day! We will be joining Blake for five of their numbers including Hallelujah and Nessun Dorma and opening the second half on our own with an original a cappella arrangement of Eleanor Rigby.”
