Wurlitzer welcome for Paul Roberts

The Springtime series of monthly Rye Wurlitzer organ concerts continues when Paul Roberts re-visits Rye after a long interval to play a varied programme of popular music on the Wurlitzer - the second-oldest in the UK. He will find some recent additions to the variety of sounds from this instrument, which is maintained by the Friends of Rye Wurlitzer.

Lancashire-born in 1960, Paul’s formative years were spent studying the piano, classical organ and clarinet. For well over 30 years Paul has been a constantly prominent name in the keyboard world, and has been a regular broadcaster in the UK and internationally.

Doors open at the Milligan Theatre at Rye College, off Love Lane, Rye at 1.30pm on Sunday, May 22, and the concert lasts from 2.30 till 5.00pm, with interval refreshments included in the £9.50 price of admission, and car parking is free.
