Performed by students aged 11-19 year olds, it was an eclectic mix of impressive group pieces choreographed by Francesca as well as the students own work. Francesca commented: “I’m so impressed with the students dedication and creativity. It resulted in some first class performances which I hope the audiences enjoyed. Contemporary dance is often about interpretation and expression, which was such a wonderful way to see young people communicate on stage. The students have made my first year as artistic director really fun.”

Based in Old Town, HSCD is non-competitive, which Francesca says is important to both students and the teachers: “In doing this we can teach the correct technique at the students own pace, creating a relaxing and fun environment. All our teachers are fully qualified to ensure we deliver safe practise.”
