St Leonards Academy ‘delighted’ with students’ GCSE success

Students at The St Leonards Academy celebrated getting top grades in their GCSE results today (Thursday, August 20).

The school said it was ‘delighted’ with Year 11 students’ GCSE marks which reflected the ‘hard work and dedication of both the students and staff in what has been a particularly challenging set of circumstances’.

It noted the exceptional performance of Head Girl Catalina Bilhari, who will be starting the next stage of her education at East Sussex College where she will study A-level maths, politics, sociology, economics and history and also Amber Spencer who has been offered a place to study A-levels at The Judd School in Tonbridge.

Other notable results came from Ellie Gidlow, Connie Evett, and David Hayler; students that achieved top grades in the subjects that they studied.

Hannah Carter, principal, said: “We would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our students the best as they start a new chapter in their journey and tell them how very proud we are of their resilience, fortitude and character.”
