The latest number of Covid-19 cases in Hastings and Rother

The number of Covid-19 cases in Hastings and Rother has been rising slightly over the past seven days, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

The data, released on Thursday (October 22), showed a total of 336 cases in Hastings and 339 in Rother.

In the past seven days, there have been 34 more confirmed cases in Hastings, with five of these recorded in the last 24 hours.

In Rother, the number of confirmed cases rose by 31 over the past week, with eight recorded in the last 24 hours.

Across East Sussex, 2,750 people have now tested positive for Covid-19 – up by 256 in a week, according to Public Health England.

Eastbourne saw another 47 cases in that seven-day period, rising to a total of 69, while Lewes recorded another 48 cases, bringing the total there to 566.

In Wealden, 96 people were confirmed to have tested positive over the past seven days, taking the total to 840 cases.

In West Sussex, 4,717 people have tested positive for the virus, with a further 1,857 cases in Brighton and Hove.

A total of 11,692 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Kent.
