The number of Covid-19 deaths in each area of Hastings

New figures show the number of Covid-19 related deaths that have occurred across different areas in Hastings.

Hastings saw a total of nine Covid-19 deaths in the three months between March 1 and May 31, according to the latest figures from the Office for National Statistics.

The breakdown by ward is as follows:

– Braybrooke and Bohemia, 2

– Silverhill, 2

– Ashdown, 1

– Central St Leonards, 1

– Hollington, 1

– Old Hastings, 1

– West St Leonards, 1

Conquest and St Helens, Broomgrove, Ore and Central Hastings have recorded no Covid-19 deaths up to May 31, according to the figures.

Figures from Public Health England show there have been 55 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Hastings – the third-lowest rate in England.

In Eastbourne, a total of 53 people have died with the virus, according to the latest ONS figures.

In Rother, 49 people have died with the virus.
