Bexhill Rotary Club’s popular Charity Ale & Arty Beer & Music Festival returns to the De La Warr Pavilion again in 2017 for three lively sessions over two days, March 17-18.
The festival attracts ale and arty folk from far and wide and will be the Rotary Club’s 4th. Last year’s festival raised around £3,000 for a variety of charitable causes and one of the organisers of the event, Rotarian Roger Batey, says next year promises to be even better. “The festival offers a wide selection of good and tasty ales to please the most discerning drinker at what is always a well supported and extremely popular event,” he said.
“There will also be cider and perry to quench the thirst along with musical entertainment to help proceedings go with a real swing.”
Local bands or soloists aged 15-19 years old are invited to compete in the Battle of the Bands which will be held as part of the festival on the Saturday (March 18) lunchtime session. There will be a prize for the winner.
The Do Theys & The Chandeliers take to the stage for the opening session on Friday March 17, 7-11pm. Tickets £7.50.
Tickets for the Battle of the Bands on Saturday March 18, 11-3pm cost £4. Later that day The Cavaliers will perform the evening session 7-11pm, tickets £7.50.
There’s a special offer of two evening sessions for £12. Entry fees to the various sessions at Ale & Arty will support a range of Bexhill Rotary Club’s chosen needy causes and charities.
