Restaurants and pubs are now allowed to open and serve food and alcohol to customers sitting outdoors, gyms and spas can reopen, as can zoos, theme parks, libraries and community centres.

People are now allowed to meet outside (including private gardens), either with one other household or within the “rule of six”, and travel restrictions have ended meaning more people will be able to visit places outside their immediate area.

Many outdoor sport facilities across Sussex have also reopened including golf courses and tennis and basketball courts.

It is hoped more businesses and attractions can open their doors after May 17 as part of the next stage of the government’s roadmap.

Here are just some of the wonderful places across Sussex which will be reopening or can be visited.
