Roald Dahl’sillustrator to attend newart festival

Over 75 artists are set to attend the first Hastings Illustration Festival (HiFest) at The Atrium space, Sussex Coast College next Saturday (December 6) from 11am.

HiFest will be a celebration of all things illustration, as well as a fun, interactive, family-friendly day just ahead of Christmas whilst raising money for charity.

Co-organiser Ali Graham says the event will have much on offer. He said: “We have over 75 top illustration guests in attendance including Roald Dahl’s illustrator Quentin Blake, Rob Ryan, Gemma Correll and Lawrence Zeegan, as well as a large group professional illustrators based here in Hastings & St Leonards. It also offers a platform for local students to showcase and sell their work.”

There will be a charity raffle and ‘Hi5 Christmas card project’ which sees 5 Hastings-based illustrators create Trekstock-themed Christmas cards, with all proceeds to the charity.
