Scouts learn basiccar maintenance

The Bexhill firm based in Victoria Road Bexhill opened their garage doors to 30 Scouts from the 9th Bexhill Group and taught them how to check motor oil, change a tyres, top up battery fluid and learnt how the clutch on a car works.

All this information enabled them to earn their mechanics badge just one of many badges that are geared towards scouts learning sills for life.

Tracey Plim their group scout leader said: “I am extremely grateful to Tom an all his staff at TSW who stayed on beyond their normal working hours to assist their local scout group achieve their goals.

“A great example of a local business helping their local youngsters.

”We are always looking out to team up with local businesses in this kind of way.

The 9th Bexhill Scouts pride themselves on being an open group. They are not sponsored by any organisation other than the parents, carer’s, friends and children of the group.
