1066 anniversary: Pictures of the Battle children's parade

Battle was overrun by an army of mini Normans and Saxons yesterday (Friday, October 14) as children from schools across 1066 country took part in a parade through the centre of town to mark the 950th anniversary of the Battle of Hastings.

Led by a military band, pupils from Battle Abbey School, Battle and Langton, Catsfield, Claremont, Claverham, Crowhurst, Netherfield, Ninfield, Robertsbridge, Sedlescombe and Vinehall took part in this spectacle.
