20 years of Probus Club

COODEN Probus Club has celebrated its 20th anniversary.

The group was founded in 1991 with 12 members. The founder chairman was Bernard Phillips and the club has met continuously every month. It now has a membership of 65.

To celebrate the anniversary a souvenir programme highlighted the inaugural meeting, November 21 1991; the first dinner and first AGM.

For the celebration at Cooden Beach Golf Club, Kelly Richards, was guest speaker, talking about the life and music of the vocalist, Anne Shelton.

Anne Shelton was a World War Two Forces Favourite and Kelly is her niece.

The career of Anne Shelton spanned 60 years.
