A259 closed after car and vans collide

The Barnhorn Road was closed to traffic for an hour-and-a-half following a crash on Wednesday (February 18).

Just before 4.20pm a car heading towards Eastbourne veered into oncoming traffic, colliding with two vans heading in the opposite direction.

Luckily no one was seriously injured in the accident.

The crash happened on the stretch of road between the Bexhill Service Station and the Bungalow Cafe.

The road was closed between the Little Common Roundabout and Wallsend Roundabout at Pevensey while police attended the scene.

Sergeant Mark Evans said: “I would like to thank motorists for their patience while we dealt with the accident.”
