A woman from Bexhill was injured as well as a St Leonards man in a crash on the A27 near Pevensey on Sunday (May 29).

Two vehicles, a silver Ford and a silver Citroen, collided with each other between the Wallsend roundabout and the Dittons Road roundabout at around 5.05pm.

The driver of the Ford, a 24-year-old man from St Leonards, and the driver of the Citroen, a 26-year-old woman from Bexhill, both suffered minor injuries.

A third car, thought to be a black Mercedes, was also involved although it did not collide with any other vehicle.

PC Mark Swift said: “We would like to speak with anyone who saw the collision and in particular the driver of this third vehicle which did not stop at the scene.

“Witnesses can email or call 101 quoting reference 1202 of 29/05.”
