Kind-hearted pupils at Battle Abbey Preparatory School recently raised funds for local charities The Sara Lee Trust and St Michael’s Hospice.
Children, staff and parents at the Bexhill-based school raised
an impressive £395.72 for each of the two charities from the retiring collections held at the school’s Christmas Performances.
The cheques were handed over to the two charities by the children representing the school council, with headteacher, Maria Maslin also in attendance.
The children had the opportunity to find out more about the work of each charity and visited patients at The Hospice Day Therapy Centre.
A spokesperson for The Sara Lee Trust and St Michael’s Hospice said: “Support from the school will allow both charities to provide much needed care and services to our patients.”
