And there is a top line-up of children’s entertainment at noon each day before the bands take to the stage each day at around 2pm.

Last year the event raised £3,000 each for Hastings RNLI and the Pett Level Rescue Boat and £1,500 for the local Sea Cadets through donations and sales of merchandise.

Organiser Jackie Pratt said: “It is, as always, a free event that is held to raise money for the Hastings RNLI, the Sea Cadets and Pett Level Inshore Rescue boat.

“There will be collections on site and around the town all over the weekend so please give generously to the collectors wearing the official yellow t-shirts.

“Commemorative t-shirts are once again available this year for £9.95, these along with mugs, badges and magnets can be bought now from Cobblers to the Old Town, The Filo, The Anchor, The Crown and The Hastings Arms as well as being available at the concerts.

“We have a bar, courtesy of the FILO, with locally brewed beers, as well as our own barbecue with soft drinks.

“All profits from all stalls on site go straight to our charities.

“Please note that no alcohol can be brought on to the site. A wide range including draught beers, lagers and cider is available on site at reasonable prices. No dogs can be brought on to the site either.

“Once again we have a professional stage and sound crew. There will be astro-turf for families to sit on and a level surface so some seating can also be provided. There won’t be enough to go round so why not bring along a rug or your own chairs to sit on so you can grab a spot and make yourselves comfy for the afternoon.

“This event could not have happen without the sponsorship and support from local companies including St Leonards Motors - Nissan, Skinners Sheds, Priory Meadow, Karma Security, Judges Bakery, Trade Paints, Mike Raxworthy Music and many others around the town.
