Bexhill church toy service

BEXHILL United Reformed Church holds a toy service on Sunday with worshippers encouraged to bring new or good second-hand toys. The gifts will be distributed among children spending Christmas in the care of St Jude's family refuge in the town.

The Minister, the Rev Andrew Berry, says: "The manager, knowing of our continued support, has reminded me it isn't only the children who will be there; the mums all too often arrive with only the bare essentials so personal toiletries, flannels, soap, toothpaste etc would make very welcome gifts for them. Also, the 'children' are aged from babies to early teenagers, so appropriate gifts for older ones would be much appreciated."
