Bexhill firefighters tackle electrical blaze in roof space of home in Cooden area

Firefighters were called out to tackle a blaze in Cooden on Monday afternoon (April 20).

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service received a call just before 12.50pm to report that a fire had broken out at an address in The Barnhams.

The fire was spreading through the roof space of the domestic dwelling.

Crews from Bexhill and Hastings were quickly on the scene, using six breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, one main jet and a hydrant to put the fire out.

The property was saved and there were no reports of casualties.

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service launched an investigation which concluded that an electrical fault was to blame for the blaze.
