Bexhill High exam results

Fifty percent of pupils achieved 5 grades A to C including English and Maths, while 82 percent achieved 5 grades A to C.

Principal Mike Conn said he was "delighted" with the results and praised the hard work and commitment of both pupils and staff.

The school has been under pressure since a mini-OFSTED inspection earlier this year identified a number of key weakenesses.

An action plan was launched, and a number of changes made, to tackle the problems highlighted by the inspector.

Mike said: "These are wonderful results, a major step forward, and in November we move to our new 37million school in Gunters Lane.

"These are exciting times for the Bexhill commiunity."
