Bexhill High student leaders

BEXHILL High has appointed its Student Leaders for the next school year.

More than 75 Year 10 youngsters were chosen following a rigorous selection process that included obtaining references and staff feedback.

Trudy Hillman, co-manager of the Student Leaders, said: "As usual, the standard of applications this year was extremely high. We have just completed a survey with our Year 11 students that showed that being a Student Leader is often one of the biggest achievements of their school career.

"We had over 150 applications for the posts, and will be having another round in September.

"Student Leaders provide a vital role in school in supporting both students and staff in the running of the school. They also act as ambassadors for the school and are often the first student point of contact for visitors and the wider community."

Bexhill High will over the next couple of weeks appoint its Senior Student Leadership team.
