This year’s Bexhill In Bloom open garden day is tomorrow (Saturday May 9) in Turkey Road from 11-4pm.
Entry costs £5 and includes strawberry cream tea, (or light lunch) which helps raise funds for Bexhill in Bloom. The event will be opened officially at 2pm by Brett McLean with a surprise guest.
Entertainment includes poetry from Claire Baldry, various stands, plus Furry Friends. Organiser Sandy Melvin said: “This is a wild woodland garden in natural habitat which encourages birds, bees, butterflies and wildlife, definitely worth coming to see. This will also be the Launch for Bexhill in Bloom, please come along and support us.”
National judges for South & South East in Bloom are coming to Bexhill on Saturday July 9 to judge in the Coastal Category, Manor Gardens and the Heart of Sidley. We are appealing for everyone to help brighten up the town by putting out tubs and hanging basket. Bexhill was the Overall winner in the Coastal Category in both 2013 and 2014, we hope to make it a hat-trick. Sidley have also organised ‘Sidley in Bloom’ Entry forms can be collected from and returned to Carroll’s in Sidley. Why not enter your garden? There are various entry boxes around Bexhill Closing date for Bexhill in Bloom and Sidley in Bloom is May 30. We would like to see more people join our Bexhill in Bloom committee.
