Bexhill jobs and apprenticeships fair for young adults

A number of businesses and organisations have come together to put on a jobs and apprenticeships fair in Bexhill, it was announced today (Friday, January 22).

Representatives from politics, retail, entertainment and many more sectors will be part of the fair at the De La Warr Pavilion on Friday, April 29.

The fair is aimed at 16-24 year-olds looking for employment or apprenticeship opportunities but is open to all ages.

It was launched at the Bexhill Chamber of Commerce and Federation of Business Breakfast this morning.

Partners coming together to help deliver this event include the Bexhill MP Huw Merriman, Bexhill Town Team, Chamber of Commerce and Tourism, the Federation of Small Businesses, Bexhill College, Sussex Coast College, Bexhill Jobcentre Plus, Rother Voluntary Action, Rother District Council, Creative Café and the De La Warr.

The event is community led and not-for-profit.

The Lets Do Business group is also supporting it, lending their knowledge and experience in this area, as well as Locate East Sussex who has confirmed they will be one of the headline partners of the event.

There is now a call for other businesses to get involved.

Businesses must be actively offering jobs, apprenticeships, and volunteering opportunities in our region or be interested in providing workshops, training or careers advice.
