Bexhill Marina Townswomen’s June meeting started with administration, refreshments and talking to our friends.
We settled down to listen to Father Bill Haymaker talking about child abuse in Romania, in particular orphans who are forced to become street children. There was nothing pleasant about this talk, we didn’t expect there would be. The only light is that some brave people are trying to help.
The sheer vicious ugliness of the violent abuse of children does not just happen in Romania, it happens world-wide. In many countries children are trafficked to other nations for the sole purpose of being used for sex. It has become obvious that the “civilised” world must find a solution. We are all responsible.
What can we do? We do not have the right to do nothing. Whatever god we pray to, or don’t, we must find an answer before the human race becomes so degraded it cannot recover. PLEASE, visit: ProjectNewLife.org
The next meeting of Bexhill Marina Townswomen’s Guild will be at Bexhill Sailing Club on 22nd July starting at 7.30pm.
