Bexhill Marina Townswomen’s Guild has had a busy few weeks. Starting with a fund-raising BBQ on a warm and sunny day at the home of Cynthia and Barry Edwards. Then there was Summer Lunch at Manor Barn where our members enjoyed good food and drink and listened to Philip Holt talking about the work of the Red Arrows which was very interesting.
At the Bexhill Sailing Club we celebrated our 4th Birthday with a party. Entertainment was provided by the lively Hannah’s Cat Morris Dancers who were applauded and invited to partake of supper. The food was provided by members and we enjoyed eating it and drinking Paula’s punch. We had Birthday wishes from around the Federation and one lovely member sent us greetings from Australia.
Croquet was our next date, arranged for us by Lesley. We played at the United Reform Churches’ green and it was more fun than serious playing since we had very mixed skills. Of course there was a break for tea and biscuits.
Marina Townswomen meet next at Bexhill Sailing Club on Wednesday 23rd September starting at 7.30pm. We love to meet new members so why not come along for a taster.
