Bexhill Mayor is spicing up charity

Raising funds for local scouts is Bexhill Town Mayor Cllr Brian Kentfield’s hope during his year in office and he has announced a special charity event this month.

An Indian night in aid of scouting will be held at the Shiplu Restaurant in London Road on Thursday March 26 from 7.30pm.

Tickets - which cover as much to eat as you like - cost £18, available from him at 13 Collington Rise. Bexhill TN39 3RT, or call 01424 842966. Cheques made payable to Bexhill Mayors Charity.

Cllr Kentfield has been working towards the £100,000 needed for a new scout hall at Kiteye Campsite and aims for this to “become a reality and provide a legacy for hundreds of young people across Bexhill for many years to come.” You can ‘buy a brick’ by sending a donation to the Mayor’s Secretary at the Town Hall, payable to Senlac District Scout Council.
