Bexhill Town Forum

REPRESENTATIVES of Bexhill organisations will be given a resume of Rother work over the last four months at Tuesday's meeting of the Town Forum.

Issues include the March debate on the building of Sidley's new surgery, the March presentation to Rother on Pebsham Countryside Park, the decision to accept a developer's offer to build 38 affordable homes on land adjoining the cemetery which had originally been set aside as a new site for Gullivers Bowling Club and the March debate on financial support for the De La Warr Pavilion.

Other items on the agenda for the 6.30pm meeting at Bexhill College include the customary public forum - an opportunity for the public to raise issues - a report from Bexhill Youth Council and a report from Rother housing officer Anne Fennessy on housing in Rother.

Former chairman and vice chairman Cllr Stuart Wood last week appealed via the Observer for local organisations to support the forum by sending representatives. His appeal followed an appeal by chairman Ken Hutchinson when the March meeting came close to be cancelled because there was so little on the agenda.
