Imogen Bassett was on holiday with her family when her three to four year old Yorkshire Terrier, called Lizzie, went missing from a garden in Magdalen Road, Bexhill.

When she returned home three weeks later, Imogen was told by the dog-sitter that Lizzie has disappeared the day after she left.

She said: “This means that Lizzie has been missing for three weeks.

“The dog-sitter was wonderfully pro-active and contacted the local vets and kennels and posted fliers around Bexhill but to no avail. She did not tell us she was missing until we got home so as to not ruin our holiday.

“We are now at a complete loss as to what to do, she came to us as a rescue from a infamous puppy farm and when we adopted her they had already tried to breed from her as it transpired she was pregnant: she was less than one year old.

“She was a warm ridden, bundle of bones but she was so trusting and loving that she immediately became part of the family.

“The thought of losing her is unbearable and the possibility of her being back in a horrible situation even more so.

“I am desperate enough to hope you can help me.”

Imogen has issued photos of Lizzie in the hope that somebody in Bexhill may have seen her.
