Eighteen year old Peasmarsh musician Tommy Ludford has got the call for an audition for the ITV hit show Britain’s Got Talent.
Talented Tom has had a passion for writing songs and singing since the age of 13 and now plays the guitar.
He impressed Keane member Tim Rice-Oxley when he won a competition to play along with Tim.
Mum Amy said: “This really encouraged him not to give up on his dream.
Tommy wrote a song called Designer Girl, which he posted online and on Jack Kitty’s record web page. It went viral and Tommy went from having a few hundred online followers to 50,000.
A few weeks ago the manager of Britain’s Got Talent winners group Collabaro, saw Tommy’s music and asked if he could send it off to the ITV producers,
Tommy agreed, not expecting to hear but last week the ITV production team called and invited him to attend an audition in November. This is the only audition before the live shows.
Local people can hear Tommy before then when he plays at the Kings Head in Rye on Sunday October 16 from 6pm - 8pm.
Come along and support him.
