Booze taken from underage drinkers

The haul by PCSO's comprised cider, lager and vodka and totalled 127 units. The alcohol was taken from a group of six youths.

Sgt Trish Reeve-Fowkes commented: "Bexhill Neighbourhood Policing Team takes a positive approach to underage drinking and all alcohol in possession of persons under 18 years of age is seized.

"Regular patrols are carried out in Collington Woods. Egerton park and the beach in response to concerns from residents of the town that these areas are frequented by the youth to consume alcohol.

"Underage drinking and anti social behaviour is a priority for the team and we are actively working with the schools, shops, parents and the licensing unit to address this problem."
