British Red Cross coffee morning & appeal

BEXHILL'S British Red Cross at Thalia House, held it's monthly coffee morning on Saturday and raised just over Â£117 for the centre's funds.

Along with the usual stalls selling an array of goods including books, videos, clothes, bric a brac, scrumptious home-made cakes and scones, a tombola and raffle, there was a special request from the centre's organiser, Rosemary Barry.

Rosemary has put out an appeal for more volunteers to help with the medical loan equipment, which is one of the services that the centre provides.

She said: "We are looking for people who can help any morning between 10 and 12. It will be helping to serve the general public with the medical equipment."
