Burglars make off with a barbecue
POLICE are appealing for witnesses and information after a Grill Chef gas barbecue and a wheelbarrow were stolen during a break-in at Sidley Martlets Bowling Club, on the recreation ground next to Canada Way, Sidley.
The theft occurred sometime between 7pm on Thursday last week, July 14, and 7.15am on Friday, July 15 when the burglary was discovered.
PC Jason Kemp, of Bexhill Police, is investigating and said: “Local residents may have been disturbed by noise as padlocks securing the gate were forced and the steel barbecue was taken, leaving several items strewn across the pavement.”
