Network Rail says the replacement services will be running from the start of service on the line due to overrunning engineering works.

A Network Rail spokesperson said: “Unfortunately, train services on the Hastings line will be disrupted tomorrow morning owing to late running engineering works. Problems were encountered over the weekend while undertaking track renewal work in the Hastings area, and bus replacement services will run between Hastings and Ashford, Bexhill and Battle from the start of service on Monday, with some disruption expected throughout the day.

“Our engineers are working hard to complete the work as quickly and as efficiently as possible in order to keep disruption to a minimum.

“We’d like to apologise to passengers in the South East for the inconvenience and are advising people to check their journeys before they travel tomorrow at www.nationalrail.co.uk.”
