Car crash closes road

A THREE-car collision at the A259 De La Warr Road/Dorset Road junction closed the trunk road for two and a half hours.

Police said that an east-bound BMW crashed into two west-bound vehicles, a Metro and a Peugeot, waiting at the traffic lights at about 7.20pm on Tuesday.

Two people were hurt. One was cut free from the Peugeot by firefighters.

Both were taken by ambulance to the Conquest Hospital and were released after treatment.

PC Hicks of the Bexhill Traffic Division base would like to hear from any witnesses on 0845 607099. In particular, he would like to hear from a motorcyclist who stopped and helped the driver of the Peugeot.
