Car occupants flee scene after collision in Hastings

Police are investigating after the occupants of a car fled the scene of a collision in Hastings.

The collision happened in St Georges Road at 7am on Saturday, September 19.

A Sussex Police spokesman said: “Police were called to a report of a three vehicle collision in St George’s Road, Hastings, on Saturday (September 19), at 7am involving a Seat Ibiza which hit a parked car, which was then pushed into another parked car behind it causing damage.

“The two occupants of the Seat Ibiza then left the vehicle and ran off towards Manor Road.

“Officers attended and enquiries are ongoing.

“If anyone witnessed the collision or has any information about it report online or ring 101 quoting serial 310 of 19/09.”

Eyewitness Daniel Burton said two vehicles were badly damaged in the collision.

He added: “The road is blocked due to a vehicle in the middle of the road. Vehicles are unable to get through.”
