Winter is on its way out and it’s timeto start thinking about warmer days and the election of this year’s carnival queen and princesses for Bexhill Carnival
The carnival will take place on July 25 and grand finale procession will be led by the carnival court and the carnival committee is now looking entrants to attend a selection evening in March.
Organiser of the Carnival Court, Kate Cousins: “The carnival court selection evening will take place from 6pm on Wednesday March 11 2015 at St John’s Church, London Road, Bexhill.
“We have uploaded entry forms onto our website so they can be completed before the night. We look forward to seeing as many entrants as possible this year.”
The carnival court will select a carnival queen, princess and junior princess in each age category from all of the submissions received.
The age range for Junior princess is five to 11 inclusive and thepotential carnival queen and princesses must be over 12 years-old.
The judges on the evening will be the carnival court sponsor Emma Hellier, Hastings Direct’s Jay Wootten and Tracy Aston from the carnival committee.
The carnival will run from July 18th to its culmination of the float procession on Saturday July 25th. This year’s theme is Superheroes and Villains.
