Besides the quiz’s, talks and fund raising we have also had an active couple of months with outings thanks to Mike Price. A trip to Arundle Castle and the Grounds. In September there was the ‘Mystery Tour’ This turned out to be ‘The Battle of Britain Matinee Explorer’ by City and Village Tours Ltd. As on the previous outing, members were joined by friends from the NHS Retirement Fellowship and Bexhill RAFA Club. An excellent lunch in Dover was had before the tour began and it concluded with a tour of the Battle of Britain memorial at Capel Le Ferne. We are now looking forward to what Mikle has in store for us in 2016. The talk at the last meeting was on the Cuckmere Valley by Michael Hoad which was well received and we look forward to more talks from Michael in the new year. At the next meeting we have one of Phyl’s ‘Quiz’ but because they are so demanding on those little grey cells, Phyl has up’t the modest prises for the winning team. And don’t forget the November meeting when there will be a talk by Johnathan Linsley. The next meeting of the CSRF Club will be on the 27th October 2015 at 10-0am at the Bexhill Sailing Club Marina, Bexhill-on-Sea opposite Sea Road.
Any further information on the CSRF please contact either Phyl McEwan on 01424-219589 or Brian Thring on 01424-215686.
