Classic car in crash

A CLASSIC car - a blue Renault 4CV - and a silver Vauxhall Corsa hatchback were in collision on the A269 Bexhill Road at Ninfield at its junction with Crouch Lane last Friday, blocking the road for about an hour.

The accident happened at midday as the Renault, of a type produced between 1947 and 1961, was travelling towards Bexhill and collided with the stationary Vauxhall waiting to turn into Crouch Lane.

The driver of the Renault, a man in his 60s from Bexhill, suffered facial cuts and his male passenger, in his 50s, was also hurt. Both were taken to the Conquest Hospital, St Leonards, for treatment.

The Vauxhall driver, a man in his 50s, and female passenger, in her 40s, both from St Leonards, were not reported to have been hurt.
