Club's busy time

THE Rotary Club of Senlac's membership continues to increase, with president Peter Stiles recently welcoming new recruits John Betts and Chris Andrews-Dawson.

The Rotarians’ vocational and community programmes continue, with recent activities including a stroke awareness campaign and a visit to Bexhill High School’s skills centre, and an elderly people’s outing pending.

In support of youth opportunities, careers days have taken place at Claverham and Robertsbridge Colleges, plus a work experience preparation morning with mock interviews at St Richard’s College, Bexhill.

Internationally, Marich Health Clinic in Kenya is now fully operational and it only remains for Rotarian Yellowmen to make a return visit later this year to witness the installation and supply of clean water.

Senlac St Mary’s Interact Club - the junior Rotary - based at St Mary’s School, now has 17 members.

A recent Gilbert and Sullivan Concert in aid of Admiral Nurses, which works with family carers of all ages and with people with any form of dementia within East Sussex, raised £1,000.
