Commini-Tea event at Ancaster Court

A COMMUNI-TEA event at Bexhill's Ancaster Court residential home went down as "a roaring success."

The event, held as part of BUPA Care Home's week-long national initiative supporting elderly people who live alone, saw many local folk taking advantage of a special afternoon out with the opportunity to meet residents from the home.

Staff decked the room with tea based decorations, scrumptious home-made cakes were made by Ancaster Court's chef Sue Webb, and entertainment was provided by pianist Andy Robertson, who had people singing along to old favourites such as 'Hello Dolly' and 'Bye, Bye Blackbird.'

Manager Alison Sowerby said:

" Everyone had a whale of a time. People from the local community came along to join us, which is what it was all about. It was a roaring success."
