COURT RESULTS: Round-up of cases from 1066 Country

October 6:

Christopher Hood (aged 45), of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to charges of assault be beating and to using threatening behaviour. The offences took place at Hastings, on September 17. He was given a six month conditional discharge.

Ashley Pfundstein (aged 18), of Chapel Park Road, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to interfering with a Mitsubishi Outlander vehicle with the intent of stealing it. The offence took place at Bexhill on September 17. He was fined £85 with £85 costs.

Kayne Sullivan (aged 18), of Stockleigh Road, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to attempting to steal items from a motor vehicle. The offence took place at Bexhill on September 17. The court made a community order and ordered him to pay £85 in costs.

Thomas Barham (aged 23), of Cambridge Gardens, Hastings, was found guilty of failing to give information, when required to do so by police, relating to the identification of the driver of a Ford Transit vehicle, who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. The offence took place at Maidstone, Kent, on November 27 last year. He was fined £600 and ordered to pay £620 in prosecution costs. His driving record was also endorsed with six penalty points.

Liam Dellaway (aged 22), of Wain House Close, Edenbridge, Kent, was found guilty of fraud in that he dishonestly made a false representation, in presenting a cheque to make a gain of £280. The offence took place at Bexhill between April 28 and May 5 last year. He was sentenced to three months in prison, suspended for one year, and ordered to pay £200 in prosecution costs. They also made a community order with a requirement of 180 hours of unpaid work. Magistrates said the reason for the sentence was because of previous offending and that the offence involved an elderly, vulnerable victim.

October 10:

Kim White (aged 26), of London Road, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to causing £50 damage to a car window. The offence took place at Hastings on July 23. She was given a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £75 in compensation.

October 12:

Jamie Fish (aged 32), of Burry Road, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to driving a Toyota Corolla on Blackman Avenue, St Leonards, on July 19, while nearly twice the legal drink drive limit. He gave a breath alcohol reading of 69 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35mg. He also pleaded guilty to driving with cocaine in his blood stream and to being in possession of cocaine on the same date.

Clinton Goodfellow (aged 38), of Whitefriars Road, Hastings, pleaded guilty to stealing a pair of mens shoes and four pairs of mens trousers, worth £167, from Marks and Spencers, Priory Meadow, on September 23. He was given a six month conditional discharge.

John Waldron (aged 47), of Pett Road, Guestling, pleaded guilty to driving a Jeep vehicle, on Ferry Road, Rye, on August 21, while over the drink drive limit. He gave a blood alcohol reading of 139 miligrammes. The legal limit is 80mg. He was fined £360 and banned from driving for 17 months.

Paul Williams (aged 35), of Priory Road, Hastings, pleaded guilty to stealing two bottles of Jack Daniels whiskey, worth £60, from Morrisons, Hastings, on September 18. He also pleaded guilty to stealing two jars of honey, worth £64.98, from Holland and Barrett, Hastings, on August 26. He was given a six month conditional discharge and the court ordered him to pay £64.98 in compensation.

Daniel Hughes (aged 29), of Blackmill Close, Bexhill, pleaded guilty to two charges of making off with fuel without paying. The offences took place at Eastbourne, on July 13, when £79.67 of fuel was involved, and at Hastings on July 11 when £50 of fuel was involved. He was fined a total of £100 and ordered to pay £129.67 in compensation.

Luke Jackson (aged 40), of Beauport Park, Hastings Road, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to driving a Ford Ka on Sedlescombe Road North on August 20, with the drug Benzoylecgonine in his system. He also pleaded guilty to being in possession of a quantity of cocaine. He was fined £200 and banned from driving for one year.

Billy McDermott (aged 25), of Walnut Way, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, pleaded guilty to driving a Nissan Micra on London Road, Hurst Green, on September 28 with no insurance and no MOT test certificate. He was fined £350 and banned from driving for six months.

Adrian Mynard (aged 45), of Albion Road, Folkestone, Kent, pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle on Old London Road, Hastings, on September 23, while more than three times over the drink drive limit. He gave a breathe alcohol reading of 116 microgammes. The legal limit is 35mg. He also pleaded guilty to driving without a licence and to driving without insurance. He was banned from driving for 27 months.

Hayden Saint (aged 18), of Cloudsley Road, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to stealing a wallet, containing £12, driving licenses and a Latvian antique coin. The offence took place at St Leonards on August 13. He was fined £100 and ordered to pay compensation of £12.

John Bullen (aged 74), of Glyne Ascent, Bexhill, pleaded guilty to driving a Jaguar car on the A27 Lewes Road, at Wilmington, on April 14, without due care and attention. He was fined £153 and his driving record endorsed with six penalty points.
