Sussannah tours Britain coaching at UK events. She said: "The riding style is traditional, holding the reins in one hand only, cowboy style.

"Jessica is one of five helpers, backing the team of five young riders. She may well become a competitor if a rider drops out, for any reason. "This type of riding has a growing following in the UK of around 2,000, of which a small number enter competitions."

Jessica's mother, Mrs Jenny March, said: "We are thrilled that Jessica is included in the team, but we have to raise cash for the trip."

Entry fees, hotels and expenses for the team of 10 is around 4,000, plus flights.
