Bexhill man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after stabbing

A Bexhill man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a stabbing.

Two men were rushed to hospital following the incident in Firle Road, Eastbourne, just after 9pm last night (August 18).

Sussex Police say the 21-year-old man from Bexhill has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is in police custody.

The victims were a 37-year-old man and 33-year-old man, both from Eastbourne.

The 37-year-old remains in hospital today (August 19) in a stable condition, said police, while the 33-year-old has since been discharged.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said this was an isolated incident and police are not seeking anyone else in connection with it at this time.

The area remains cordoned off by police tape this morning as forensic investigations continue.
