Bexhill man charged in connection with double stabbing in Eastbourne

A Bexhill man has been charged in connection with a double stabbing.

Police said two men were taken to hospital following the incident in Cambridge Road, Eastbourne about 9.26pm on Tuesday, August 18.

Officers responded to the scene, and enquiries led to the arrest of Ethan Russell, 21, of Cranfield Road, Bexhill.

Police said he was charged with two counts of causing grievous bodily harm, possession of a knife in public, and possession with intent to supply cannabis.

He was remanded in custody and will appear before Lewes Crown Court on September 18.

Of the victims, a 37-year-old man remains in hospital in a stable condition; a 33-year-old man was discharged.

Investigations are ongoing, and anyone with any information about the incident is asked to report it online or call 101, quoting Operation Gradient.
