December 2:

Blake Atkins, 26, of Pinders Road, Hastings, pleaded guilty to driving a Yamaha vehicle on Battle Road, St Leonards, on May 10, with cannabis and the controlled drug Benzoylecgonine in his blood stream. He also pleaded guilty to driving with no insurance at St Leonards on the same date. He was fined £300 and banned from driving for one year.

Daniel Ramsey, 39, of no fixed address, has been banned from Bexhill town centre and from entering a number of shops for three years after the court agreed a Criminal Behaviour Order. It means he is banned from entering Sainsburys and Co-op in Bexhill, Tesco Express, at Collington Avenue, B&M at Ravenside, One-Stop at Sea Road, Aldi in London Road, Iceland in Devonshire Road and Lidl in Ninfield Road. The order was made under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014, following a conviction in March for shoplifting offences.

Connor Coshall, 24, of Hawthorn Road, Hastings, was found guilty of assaulting a woman by beating her. The offence took place at Hastings on August 23. He pleaded guilty to causing damage to external and internal doors at Hastings on the same date. He also pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman by beating her, at Hastings on August 1. The court made a community order with a requirement of 180 hours of unpaid work and ordered him to pay £100 in compensation.

Mark O’Dowd, 49, of Hampden Close, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to driving a Vauxhall Corsa at St Leonards on September 15, while over the drink drive limit. He gave a breath alcohol reading of 56 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. He also pleaded guilty to driving with no licence or insurance at St Leonards on the same date. He was fined £200 and banned from driving for a year.

Lynn Bailey, 46, of Preston Road, Bexhill, pleaded guilty to causing damage to a vehicle. The offence took place at Bexhill on September 1. The court made a community order with a drug rehabilitation requirement and ordered her to pay £200 in compensation.

Samuel James, 28, of Upper Glen Road, St Leonards, indicated a plea of guilty to being in possession of a quantity of cannabis, with intent to supply it to another. The offence took place at St Leonards on August 24. He was sentenced to 16 weeks in prison, suspended for one year. The court made a community order with a requirement of 100 hours of unpaid work.

Leighton O’Grady, 22, of The Bourne, Hastings, pleaded guilty to two offences of being in possession of a knife in a public place, at Bohemia Road, Hastings, on September 25. He was sentenced to five months in prison, suspended for 18 months. Magistrates said the reason for the sentenced was ‘the seriousness of being in possession of more than one knife without justification’. The court made a community order with a requirement of 120 hours of unpaid work.

Ian Doe, 49, of Woodlands Way, Hastings, indicated a plea of guilty to stealing cash and food items worth £976.31, belonging to Burwash Stores. The offence took place between March 12 and May 5 last year. He was committed to Lewes Crown Court for sentencing on January 6 and released on unconditional bail.

Kathryn Hickson, 36, of The Hoe, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to driving a Mazda vehicle on Sedlescombe Road North, Hastings, on April 21, with the controlled drug Benzoylecgonine in her blood stream. She also pleaded guilty to driving with no insurance on the same date. She was fined £120 and banned from driving for 18 months.

Asghar Ali, 42, of High Street, Polegate, pleaded guilty to driving a Volkswagen vehicle on Littlecommon Road, Bexhill, on April 13, while disqualified from driving. He also pleaded guilty to driving with no insurance, and to wilfully obstructing a police officer at Little Common Road on the same date. He pleaded guilty to two charges of speeding on the A259, Marina, at Hastings, on April 27 and April 28. He was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison, suspended for 18 months. Magistrates said the reason for the sentence was ‘a blatant disregard of a court order’. The court made a community order with a requirement of 200 hours of unpaid work and banned him from driving for 18 months.

Richard Ridler, 36, of Junction Road, Staplecross, pleaded guilty to driving a Mini Cooper on Fairglen Road, Wadhurst, on December 29 last year, while more than twice over the drink drive limit. He gave a breath alcohol reading of 89 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. He was fined £900 and banned from driving for 42 months.

Alfred Miller, 20, of The Suttons, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to driving a Volkswagen vehicle on Redgeland Rise, Hastings, on January 26, while over the drink drive limit. He gave a breath alcohol reading of 44 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. He was fined £160 and banned from driving for one year.
